All first visitors to the Career Center meet with a Workforce Development Specialist to review Career Center Services and an initial assessment as to their needs.
To be eligible for priority of service Veterans, and covered persons, must meet all other program eligibility requirements.Ĭustomers are given the opportunity to self identify themselves as a veteran when they enter the Career Center. Public Law 107-288 requires Veterans’ priority in all programs funded wholly or in part by the Department of Labor. Veterans Representatives are also available to meet with veterans with significant barriers to employment. Additionally, our Business Services Representatives actively work with area businesses to hire veterans. Workforce Development Specialists are available to assist our service men and service women with finding suitable employment or in obtaining training needed to find employment.
